The past is past. Suffice it to say I studied at Dartington College of Arts in its halcyon days when Leonard Elmherst, the founder was still alive and visited by world renowned musicians and philosophers.
From this inspirational window a varied life as a conductor, teacher and more recently composer and arranger has ensued.
There are still many avenues I wish to explore in addition to my present roles as Musical Director of The Cornish Sinfonia (check out the website)and the St. Mewan Sinfonia, plus composing and arranging. I also maintain a link with Cornwall Music Service where I lead the Brass Team and coordinate the Service's Performance Management system on a part time basis.
Historical research in music making forma a base and inspiration for my current composing, as does exploring the world from my base in Cornwall, combined with my love for Good food and wine, my wife, 2 sons and Horace our cat. |
